Abstract: This paper focuses on the BER, Q-Factor, Eye Height for a four user OCDMA with varying jitter. Performance of the OCDMA communication system has been evaluated in terms of bit error rate, Q-factor and eye closure with jitter varying from 0 Unit-Interval to 0.7 Unit-Interval in steps of 0.1 Unit-Interval. Simulations were carried out using commercially available simulation from Gigasoft, OPTiWAVE. Keywords: Bit Error Rate (BER), Jitter, Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA), Optiwave, Q-Factor (QF).
Detection And Removal Of Packet Dropper Nodes For Congestion Control Over The Manet

Abstract:Abstract: - Packet Dropper nodes is a severe problem in MANET and they not only are harmful for the sender and receiver but they also lead to congestion in mobile adhoc networks as the sender may get involved in sending packets again and again as there is no acknowledgement from the receiver. Mobile ad hoc network is wireless network of mobile nodes, with no centralized management and control. Network congestion leads to reduced throughput, routing and lifespan, etc. of a network. Situation is worst when packet dropper nodes will send an acknowledgement to the sender and never forwards the packet ahead. Therefore they require proper attention and elimination from the network. In this paper, a new technique is being proposed to reduce the packet dropping nodes from the network by using a reliability factory which is increased by acknowledgement received from the receiver and all sender making decision to send a packet through a node having higher reliability factory. For calculating throughput, simulations has been created using NS2. Keywords: MANET, Packet Dropper Nodes, Reliability.
Design of a Voltage-Controlled PFC Cuk Converter-Based PMBLDCM Drive for Fan

Cuk converter, power factor (PF) correction (PFC), permanent-magnet (PM) brushless dc motor (PMBLDC), voltage control.
Abstract: This paper deals with the design of a Cuk DC-DC converter for a BLDC drive. A three-phase voltage source inverter is used as an electronic commutator to operate PMBLDCM used in a fan. It uses the concept of the voltage control at dc link proportional to the desired speed of the PMBLDCM. The speed of the motor is controlled to have the optimum speed of the fan and also to improve the power factor. The proposed drive is fed from a single phase ac supply through a diode rectifier followed by a Cuk converter and a link capacitor. The proposed PMBLDCM drive (PMBLDCMD) is designed and modelled, and its performance is evaluated in Matlab-Simulink environment. Keywords: Cuk converter, power factor (PF) correction (PFC), permanent-magnet (PM) brushless dc motor (PMBLDC), voltage control.

Abstract: This paper discusses the system identification of Multi-input Multi-output (MIMO) system and design of Model Predictive Controller (MPC) for identified model. Distillation column process is taken for studies. It is an important processing unit in petroleum refining and chemical industries, and needs to be controlled close to the optimum operating conditions because of economic incentives. Subspace identification method is used to identify the MIMO model and Model Predictive Controller is designed for identified model. MPC is widely adopted in the process industry as an effective means to deal with large multivariable constrained control problems. Abstract:Abstract : Computers are playing an important role in automation of various process and industries and Digital Data Archiving is one of them where in we tend to improve the working of office through some software process. Each Day numerous letters, visiting cards and documents are received and generated in offices and then they are stored in files and folders in offices. To search any document / letter just takes a lot of time and things go more worse when we don't remember the date or heading of this document and but just the sender's name or just a line from the text of the document. There is also chances of misplacement of these documents. So it is the need of the hour to built an application that will have capabilities to scan will achieve is to allow an efficient and easy search of documents by just typing sender's name or the company name. Abstract: In this paper it evaluates the BER (bit error rate) performance of MIMO system. MIMO uses multiple transmitting antennas, multiple receiving antennas and the space time block codes to provide diversity. MIMO transmits signal encoded by space time block encoder through different transmitting antennas. These signals arrive at the receiver at slightly different times. Spatially separated multiple receiving antennas are used to provide diversity reception to combat the effect of fading in the channel. This paper presents a detailed study of diversity coding for MIMO systems. Finally, these STBC techniques are implemented in MATLAB and Simulation results displays the BER report of performance of MIMO system with varying number of transmitting antennas and MSE performance for two channels under Rayleigh fading environment. Abstract: In electric distribution system, the problem of finding the optimal configuration of radial network may be classified as the Travelling Salesman Problem. When a medium voltage system (20 kV) has a number of connected feeders whose circuit breakers (CBs) can become open or closed, a combinatorial number of possible system configurations created by switching CBs become very large. In order to determine the minimum loss configuration of medium voltage system, a new computation algorithm is proposed. Harmony Search Algorithm (HSA) is proposed to solve the network re-configuration problem to get optimal switching combination in the network. The HSA is a recently developed algorithm which is conceptualized using the musical process of searching for a perfect state of harmony. It uses a stochastic random search instead of a gradient search which eliminates the need for derivative information. Simulations are carried out on 33-bus radial network of IEEE test system to validate the proposed algorithm. The results are compared with PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) as a popular approaches available in the literature. It is observed that the proposed method performed well compared to the PSO in terms of the quality of solutions.
