DOI: 10.17148/IJIREEICE.2018.6121
Abstract: This research work present design and performance analysis of vector control ac drive system using different conventional controllers. In this research work design two three phase AC drives e.g. induction motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor based drives. A controller is a device which when introduced in feedback of the system, controls the steady state and transient response as per the requirement. The conventional P, PI, PD, and PID controller performances are compared. Among these controller PID controller has minimised ripple contents of speed and torque and also improved dynamic performance under transient and steady-state operating conditions.

Assessment on Stalking Proficiency of Mppt in Solar-Car Beneath Running Condition

DOI: 10.17148/IJIREEICE.2018.6122
Abstract: Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) is concentrated to get most extreme yield of PV whenever. There are many control techniques (e.g. Slope Climbing, Genetic Algorithm, Fibonacci Search Algorithm et al.) in MPPT. Nonetheless, the regular control technique isn't appropriate for moving vehicles' PV, for example, a solar car. In this manner, the creators tried an age normal for running state. In this examination, the effectiveness of Power Comparing Type and Hill Climbing Type MPPT frameworks is assessed by open air running analysis. In Addition, it isn't clarified about the itemized state for the age trademark on running time. In this way, we quantified intergradation of constant PV bend with a capacitor charge type I-V bend tracer. Accordingly, when the impact of shadow was extreme, it was discovered that plausibility of Power Comparing Method was helpful.

Satellite Image Resolution Enhancement Using Double Density Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform and Nonlocal Means

DOI: 10.17148/IJIREEICE.2018.6123
Abstract: A Multi scale decomposition based on double density dual-tree complex wavelet transform and edge preservation is presented for SRE of the satellite images. Resolution enhancement schemes (which are not based on wavelets) suffer from the drawback of losing high frequency contents (which results in blurring). The Discrete Wavelet Transform- based (DWT) RE scheme generates artifacts (due to a DWT shift-variant property). A wavelet-domain approach based on Double Density Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DDDTCWT) and nonlocal means is used for RE of the satellite images. A satellite input image is decomposed by DDDTCWT to obtain high-frequency subbands. The high-frequency subband and the low-Resolution (LR) input image are interpolated using the bicubic interpolator. The high frequency subbands are passed through an NLM filter to cater for the artifacts generated by DDDTCWT. The filtered high-frequency subbands and the LR input image are combined using inverse DDDTCWT to obtain a resolution-enhanced image. The simulated results will show that technique used in this process provides better accuracy rather than prior methods.

Abstract: The design and implementation of autonomous and semi-autonomous robots for accomplishment of different types of domestic tasks and goals, from comparatively simple work such as cleaning to complicated tasks such as interacting with humans to provide companionship, is one of the major thrust areas for the modern age. In the present paper, an effort has been made by the group members to perform a comparatively simple task in a sophisticated manner, through the design of a navigation algorithm for a smart floor cleaner robot. An algorithm for effective cleaning of the floor has been developed through modification of the well-known algorithm by Dijkstra, to allow for minimal backtracking to complement the hill-climbing approach, enhancing the energy efficiency of the system by optimization of robotic motion.
Abstract: Horn antennas have been observed to have excellent directive properties for transmission of microwaves. Directive communication using horn antennas can be carried out in areas with low or no network coverage through establishment of stable line-of-sight links to connect a low network coverage area to a network by using Customer Premises Equipment such as horn antennas and modems. The performances of different types of pyramidal horn antennas are therefore compared to select the best possible option among them.

DOI: 10.17148/IJIREEICE.2018.6126
Abstract: The proposed analysis describes an Optical Mach Zehnder Interferometer (OMZI) sensor platform using rib waveguides. OMZI is a device that makes accurate measurements of Refractive Index (RI), deals with interferometer using single mode transmission. Using the OMZI waveguide structure, optical technique for sensing and measurement was demonstrated. The entire Mach Zehnder Interferometer structure has been made using rib waveguide. Technical considerations for analysis of single mode rib waveguides and its effects on sensitivity are reported. The rib height and width for single mode rib waveguide greatly affects light guiding. Waveguide structure is designed using RSOFT CAD tool. Its optimization and measurement of refractive index has been carried out using Beam Propagation Method (BPM) technique. This is cost effective and simple methodology which can be used in guided wave bio-sensors application.
