DOI: 10.17148/IJIREEICE.2018.641
Abstract: PV solar panel has been widely used as a source of electricity generation. Heat irradiance from sunlight will increase the temperature of the PV solar panel which leads to the increase in its resistance to electricity being generated. Different types of nanofluids including CuO-H2O, TiO2-H2O, Al2O3-H2O have been simulated and show positive effect on reducing the maximum temperature of the surface of PV solar panel. However the results show no significant differences on temperature reduction among different nanofluids even though we can notice a slightly more drops on PV solar panel using CuO- H2O nanofluids. However, by varying different parameters such as the nanoparticles concentration in the nanofluids, the results may vary. The present study has been performed by setting the coordinates of UCTS in ANSYS Fluent with the time being set at 12.00pm to simulate the solar heat irradiance at that particular time and location.

Abstract: The main aim of this project is to avoid complete shutdown of power due to increase in demand and constant production. In order to avoid this to maximum extent we are going to split the consumer load into parts and give different priorities. When the demand increases when compared to the production level the load with lesser priority should get off automatically and when the demand equals the production level it should get on automatically. So by using this system we can reduce the complete shutdown of power.

Abstract: A TOF laser extend discoverer comprises of a laser transmitter, maybe a couple collectors and timing discriminators, and a period estimating unit. Keeping in mind the end goal to enhance single-shot accuracy the huge number rate of the estimation heartbeat ought to be expanded, so the optical beat of the laser transmitter ought to be smaller and all the more effective and the transfer speed of the collector ought to be higher without expanding. The optical distance meters are regularly called LADARs or LIDARs (LADAR = laser identification and going and LIDAR = light recognition and going) or with the term laser run discoverer. The term laser radar incorporates both laser go discoverers and the gadgets estimating the retention or diffusing of light of the air. In this proposition the term laser go discoverer is utilized for laser remove meters. The optical separation estimation techniques can be isolated from numerous points of view, one of them being the characterization to aloof and dynamic strategies. The passive methods do not need their own light source, but they use the ambient light for gathering the distance information from the target. Abstract: A significant factor for property designing the protection scheme of a smart grid is the fault current contribution from the converter interfaced distributed energy resources. The fault current direction and magnitude is difficult to be defined, since the currents injected by the converters affect it considerably. The fault situation is even more complicated considering. The case of islanded looped micro-grids with conventional protection devices. In such micro-grids, all protection devices are settled to the same rated current. In order to overcome these issues, this paper proposes a new method for detecting and clearing faults, without utilizing and communication means. The fault identification process is carried out by measuring indirectly the micro grid impedance, while each converter adapts the internal control method and injects a fault current proportional to the sensed impedance. Therefore, the sources being closer to the fault inject relatively larger currents enabling the relative coordination of conventional protection devices. In order to enhance even more the relative coordination of the protection devices, a time delay is also incorporated in the fault control, the proposed strategy is validated a looped micro grid, protected by simple over current relays.

Hence optimizing a shortest route and saving time and fuel and the collected waste is segregated. Therefore system can lead to effective collection of waste from cities. Thus preventing overflowing of bin and as a result the foul smell, diseases can be reduced due to waste dumped and making cities clean.
Abstract: Phishing is the fraudulent electronic communications (emails, text messages, or instant messages) that appear to come from legitimate businesses to entice you to provide personal information. The fraudster then uses your information to commit identity theft or lure you to further engage in scams. Voice based surveillance system keeps track of certain voice based keywords like PIN Number, ATM card number, Password, Credit card number, lucky draw winner etc., in the conversation occurring between the potential attacker and the victim. When these keywords are detected, the system sends an alert message to the user’s mobile phone with a vibration for 2 to 3 seconds and switches to the surveillance mode and starts tracking various details about the potential attacker like, the origin/location of the attacker’s call, phone number, service provider details and stores them in a temporary memory. If any transaction happens with the user’s bank account within a predefined threshold time after the phishing conversation has been detected, then the system sends an alert message to both the customer and bank about the transactions. The alert message comprises of various details regarding the bank transaction IP address of the machine from where the transaction was carried out, transaction ID, time stamp of transaction, phone numbers details (service provider names, phone user names and geographic location) of both the user and the potential attacker.

DOI: 10.17148/IJIREEICE.2018.6419
Abstract: The Electric Power System is divided into many different sections. One of which is the transmission system, where power is transmitted from generating stations and substations via transmission lines into consumers. Both methods could encounter various types of malfunctions is usually referred to as a “Fault”. Fault is simply defined as a number of undesirable but unavoidable incidents can temporarily disturb the stable condition of the power system that occurs when the insulation of the system fails at any point. A smart GSM based fault detection and location system was used to adequately and accurately indicate and locate the fault had occurred. This will ensure a shorter response time for technical crew to rectify these faults and thus help save transformers from damage and disasters. The system uses a current transformer, a voltage transformer, PIC 16F877 Microcontroller, RS-232 connector, and a GSM modem. The system automatically detects faults, analyses and classifies these faults and then, calculates the fault distance from the control room using an impedance-based algorithm method. Finally, the fault information is transmitted to the control room. In conclusion, the time required to locate a fault is drastically reduced, as the system automatically and accurately provides accurate fault location information. By using this project, we can detect the faults of three phase transmission lines one can monitor the Temperature, Voltage, Current by means of GSM modem by sending message.
