PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT OF THREE PHASE GRID-TIED PV SYSTEM WITH UPQC
A. Anwar Basha, K.Rameez Raja
Abstract: This paper proposes a single stage three-phase four-wire grid-connected photo voltaic (PV) system, operating with a dual compensating strategy. The DC-bus voltage at the dc-link is improved by the PV system. Since the UPQC system is based on a dual compensation strategy. The parallely connected inverter operates as a sinusoidal voltage source, whereas the seriesly connected inverter operates as a sinusoidal current source. This project proposes, an improvement in the real power and reactive power flow through the transmission line with UPQC using PID controller when compared to the system without UPQC.

Abstract: According to NCRB, a total of 18051 fire accidents have been reported in 2019.These are mainly due to the short circuiting of circuits and gas cylinders. Overall of the accidents are residential area based. We can also infer that there has been a significant rise in the probability of fire accidents on the skyscrapers in the recent years. With our current methodology we are not much equipped to extinguish fire in such elevated areas. Unfortunately, in most of the accidents the tolls seem too high. Most of them have lost their belongings and in some cases there has been loss of their faithful beings and even their close ones. In order to tackle this circumstance, we have come up with a solution which even saves the life of the firefighters who fight the fire at their lives at stake. In our project we have used the principles of aviation, radio frequency to bring up with a drone well equipped with anti-fire measures such as fire sensor, laser targeting, autonomous inspections using GPS etc. are some of the features which is used to detect the fire and to put it off . Our project, with its sensor will detect the fire and produce an alarming sound and sends a signal to the aviator, with this the first phase is completed, then without further ado, the drone will release a sphere of mono ammonium phosphate combination which gets explode and the compound diffuses, thus preventing the casualties and the spread of fire. Additionally, the project has an anti-collision system using ultrasonic and auto-return system which has the ability to return to the aviator if the connection is lost using GPS. And the ultrasonic what we are using will guide the drone without getting hit by any of the object on the time of return. This drone is equipped with 360kv motor which can provide maximum thrust of 3kg and we have used four of them and the total thrust is about 12kg and it has stand by time of 25min in air and if the battery is at critical condition the drone tends to return to the aviator. Furthermore, the drone is economical as it built in a small budget.

Abstract: Global energy consumption is rising exponentially, producing new concerns such as global warming. To mitigate the issues, major actions have been made, the other is to accomplish the objective of enhancing the usage of renewable energy sources. However, apart from hydropower renewable energy has been used insufficiently across the world. According to the greenhouse gas emission reduction report on renewable energy. Meanwhile wind and solar power have only responsible for 5% and 2.2% respectively. The feasibility of hybrid power systems integrating PV-Wind and solar energy generation in distant locations is proposed in this study wind and solar energy systems are being integrated. The economic and environmental parameters of hybrid energy systems are then compared. A hybrid system comprised of PV and wind. Batteries are used to store the excess energy and as a backup source. This article also establishes analytical guidelines and criteria for three power supply modes based on a yearly load by using HOMER software.

Abstract: Malaysia is the second largest palm oil producer in the world but ironically, the overall production of the palm oil is declining versus planned growth trajectory. One of the factors affecting the exponential growth of the palm oil estate is fungal or bacterial infection. One of the major diseases that infected palm oil tree is Ganoderma Boninense that which known as Basal Stem Rot (BSR). A fast, accurate, wide-coverage and non-destructive method for detection of infected oil palm tree is required. Therefore, low-cost unmanned aircraft for detection of the health status of palm tree plantation was implemented and image processing of the data collected from the low-cost unmanned aircraft system was processed for oil palm tree health status. MATLAB based detection was implemented. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and few image processing techniques were introduced in this project.

Abstract: Machine learning based estimation of power consumption has been established as a method of generating exact demand estimates for mutual economic benefit of providers and consumers. The current work compares multiple implementations of a low-complexity spline-based ML technique in terms of mean error and RMSE performance to propose an accurate model for generation of power consumption estimates.
Abstract: The main objective of this paper is comparative study of Reconfigurable antennas using RF MEMS. The word ‘reconfigure’ indicates that to change or alter the characteristics like radiation pattern, polarization, operating frequency of antenna according to our need or application. The reconfigurable antenna is attractive for satellite, military and commercial applications, where it is required to have a single antenna that can be adaptively reconfigurable to transmit or receive on multiple frequency bands and patterns. In this paper RF MEMS switching is proposed for reconfigurability.

Abstract: Whey melon has conquered the Indian diet as a refreshment drink in terms of its acceptable flavor and energy benefits. Microencapsulation studies by spray drying were done with the objective of increasing the shelf stability of whey melon. Microencapsulation was done with whey melon as the core material and maltodextrin as the wall material. Initially, microencapsulated whey by spray drying was made at 20% and 25% levels of maltodextrin. This was done and optimized at drying air inlet temperature of 180ºC, pressure of 2 kg/cm2 and feed rpm of 2000. By sensory analysis, it was found that 25% levels of maltodextrin were optimized for microencapsulated spray dried whey. Emulsion characteristics were analyzed for physical parameters such as pH, acidity, re-dispersion time and total soluble salts which were 6.2, 14%,37 sec and 180Brix. The feasibility of spray dried whey led to further studies on microencapsulation of whey melon. Whey melon emulsion was made at maltodextrin, melon and sugar levels of 25%, 15% and 15% of the total volume of whey. The yield obtained was 250 g. Based on sensory analysis, sugar concentration of 15% and maltodextrin level of 25% were optimized for the production of microencapsulated whey melon by spray drying. The process parameters were optimized at 200ºC inlet air temperature and feed pump rpm of 1700. Proximate analysis was performed formed for standardized sample protein content was 3.9 g/100 g, vitamin C 12.8 mg/100 g, carbohydrate 89 g/100 g, energy 356 kcal ,ash 3.3%. Scanning electron microscopy was performed for the optimsed sample and particle size was found to be 37.5±5.6 μm. Microbial analysis was performed by TPC was found to be 1 x 103 cfu/ml, which was found to be within the acceptable limit.
